STARBOARD 7'8'' Directional
German "Kite Surf" magazin Nr. 4 Juli/August 2001
Almost a legend: The red star offers superb "planing characteristics" and is alternatively useable as a waveboard.

The "planing wonder" starts with less traction in the kite, get quickly on the plane and slips nearly thru every "lull". Too much kite power intercepts the long and thin edge. It is also comfortable and stable making it easy to control in chops. It react obedient to foot steering, and turns are a child's play, because the STARBOARD does not park in slow speed . At 57 cm wide, it offers enough space for the necessary change of foot positions. Result: An optimal entry level board that is a lot of fun in moderate conditions, and it works well as a longboard in waves with light wind.
